But what if you could forgive in advance? Especially yourself!

What If You Could Forgive…In Advance?

Forgiveness is a powerful force. No doubt you are already aware of this. But we’re all human, right? Which, of course, means that we make mistakes. And sometimes those mistakes can cause pain for others. Or for ourselves. Well, what could be better than adopting an attitude of pre-forgiveness?

Just think about that for a minute…

As long as you are on a path of personal growth, you are always going to be trying out new ideas. From time-to-time, things won’t work out the way you hoped or expected. And you may be inclined to judge yourself because you didn’t quite live up to your own expectations of yourself. You may even think of yourself as a failure. This is bound to happen, wouldn’t you say?

Well, wouldn’t it be nice if you could be more loving and compassionate to yourself? Wouldn’t it be great if you could keep that image of forgiveness right out there in front of you—no matter what you do, or how things might turn out?

Interesting concept, wouldn’t you say? It’s something that Tommy & David have alluded to from time to time, and in this episode they take a deeper dive into this topic. JoAnn RotermundAnd who better to help them with this than the “Forgiveness Lady” herself, JoAnn Rotermund!

JoAnn has been on the show with the Soul Talk Guys a couple of times before, and she always brings a warm, loving attitude of forgiveness and gratitude that is totally contagious. So Tommy & David figured that having her on right before the holidays would be a great way to help you prepare for what can often be stressful time of year.

Consider the potential benefits that you might derive if you could develop a practice of pre-forgiveness:

  • You’ll be more self-compassionate and self-loving.
  • You’ll have much less stress.
  • You’ll be happier in your life.
  • You’ll be more attractive and magnetic to others.
  • Everything about your life will be better!

Don’t those sound like great things to bring into your life?

Well, then check out the video for this episode and remember to leave a comment in the space below.

Are you aware that you are the Awareness that is aware of everything?

This is not a trite question! On the contrary, it is a very deep question, and you might find it a little confusing at first. But just read that one more time:

Are you aware that you are the Awareness that is aware of everything?

The very fact that someone can conceive of such a question—and that YOU can contemplate it—speaks volumes about the nature of Human Beings. We are very special creatures…far, far greater and expansive than we can ever imagine. And Awareness—what some might call Supreme Consciousness—is present within and available to every single one of us.

As children, we tend to be pretty literal in our interpretations of things, and so we come to believe that everything has a specific meaning. And by the time we have learned to think and reason more abstractly, many of our beliefs have become so fixed in our minds that we have a hard time staying open to new points of view. We find ourselves agreeing with the meanings that we have accepted—or, more accurately, created—and our awareness becomes myopically focused on the objects of our attention. The narrower and more specific our meanings become, the more the world appears to be small and empty of possibility and opportunity. And thus we begin to experience more fear.

How do you become aware of this? What brings your attention to this issue in the first place? Ultimately, the answer lies in recognizing your own dissatisfaction with your life. When you begin to realize that your life is not shaping up as you dreamed it would, then it is quite natural to begin asking questions. And questions really are the first step in awareness, because each question you ask leads to an answer that, in turn, leads to another question.

The truth is: you ARE the Awareness that is aware of Everything! If you don’t believe that, it is only because of the meanings you have chosen to accept and agree with up to now. The moment you take a single metaphorical step back and begin truly to observe your life, you will recognize and welcome the surprising truth about who you REALLY are!

This week Tommy & David are joined by special guest Laina Orlando, a widely recognized expert in the field of what she calls The Power of Awareness. Laina is going to share her expertise with you and help you to understand this subject more deeply.

Do you want to:

  • Free yourself to experience life from your natural child-like sense of wonder and curiosity?
  • Expand your capacity to forgive?
  • Increase your compassion for all of humanity?
  • Give yourself permission to be big, bold and limitless?

If you said “Yes” to any of these questions, then check out the video and leave a comment below!

Remember, awareness is a critical, key, essential part of our inner expansion and growth; a mandatory requirement for our transformation; a must-have of human evolution.

Awareness precedes Shift. Don’t miss it!

LMTV #37: A Question of Trust https://archive.life-mastery-tv.com/2014/12/a-question-of-trust/ https://archive.life-mastery-tv.com/2014/12/a-question-of-trust/#comments Fri, 26 Dec 2014 00:00:00 +0000 http://life-mastery-tv.com/?p=154 Trust is a precious (and fragile) gift that we share with one another. And when trust is broken, it takes courage and commitment to repair.

]]>

What takes dedication and commitment to build, and a mere lapse of judgment to damage or destroy? Answer: one of our most valued virtues—Trust.

Trust is one of those things that we tend to take for granted most of the time. In fact, trust is widely appreciated as one of the most precious gifts you can give to anyone. Or receive, for that matter. When someone trusts you, in a way, they’re saying to you “I see you as someone who can hold my heart gently, lovingly and compassionately. Thank you!”

According to Ernest Hemingway, “The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them.”

When it comes to beginning a relationship, Hemingway’s statement seems obvious—you have to start by trusting the other person. But what happens when the other person does something that violates that trust? What then?

In this episode, David & Tommy are joined by a special guest, Beata Lewis, who is an executive coach specializing in this very issue. As a mediator and former attorney, Beata knows the vital and dynamic nature of agreements, ethics, conflict and trust for true partnering, and she is going to share some of her wisdom on this week’s show.

We talk about all things related to trust. In the video, you’ll learn about:

  • how to establish trust in almost any relationship;
  • how to maintain your own integrity so that you respect the trust you have with others;
  • what to do if trust gets violated on either side of the relationship.

Look, we all make mistakes. We all violate the trust of others. And, if you have any sense of integrity at all, then when this happens, you probably feel sadness or anger or shame because of what you have done. Yes, this is true, but beating yourself up for it is the absolute LAST thing you should do! Because, believe it or not:

  • there are plenty of ways for repairing the damage;
  • there are plenty of ways of getting back into integrity;
  • there are plenty of ways of healing your relationship and rebuilding that trust.

And that is just what David, Tommy and Beata share with you in this episode. So, check out the video and please leave a comment. And if you’d to find out more about Beata Lewis, please check out her website at Bridging Lives.

Have you noticed that we spend all too many brain cycles thinking about the money we don’t have, the job we don’t have, the family we wish we had?

It’s so very easy—especially during a time of year with so much emphasis on joy, giving, and family—to fall into the despair of how much we don’t have. The problem is, what we focus on, we get! Due to our tremendous capacity to create, what we humans focus our thoughts and emotions on attracts the same. So, like it or not, we’re in a fix!

“You mean if I dwell on things I don’t have, I keep getting more stuff I don’t want?”

Precisely! It’s a tricky game to play, that of creator. But let’s stop focusing on this for a minute and do something totally different. Instead of concentrating so much energy on what we don’t have—the money, the job, the relationship, the love—let’s focus on what we do have. Let’s remember how much good has happened and continues to happen moment by moment.

One great way to break free from the lack-trap, the pit of not-enough, and the quicksand of endless desires, is to practice a little…

Gratitude!

Some wise person once said, “Count Your Blessings”. Well, when was the last time you used some brain-space on that? Back in the day, after you made it through things like “I pray the lord my soul to keep” and “if I should die before I wake”, didn’t you also go through a list of thanking and blessing the special people in your life? Maybe it’s time to get back in the habit of celebrating the good times.

Life’s a gift…remember?

This week, David & Tommy are thrilled to welcome back Jo Ann Rotermund for a beautiful reminder on celebrating, rejoicing, and giving thanks for all that’s good in life.

How would you like to practice unconditional gratitude while developing a habit of forgiveness?

Many of us find ourselves caught up in an inner dialog in which our ego-mind wants to blame others for all the bad things that happen to us in our lives. And our attachment to pointing fingers outward keeps us bound up by the drama of trying to “get even at all costs.” What we don’t realize is that we are often just poisoning ourselves when we stay tied to this cycle. And this often leads to various forms of mental illness and can even manifest in physical illness as well.

Well, believe it or not, there is a cure, and it’s called

FORGIVENESS

For this week’s episode, we invited an amazing woman, JoAnn Rotermund, author of the book The Forgiveness Habit, to share some of her wisdom with you.

JoAnn has has gone through a pretty harrowing journey in her life, and when she came out of her dark pit of despair, what she had learned led her to become a well-known expert in the area of forgiveness and gratitude. In today’s program, she shares a little about her own life journey, and a LOT about what could very well be THE cure for what ails the world right now.

You can find out more about Jo Ann at her website, The Forgiveness Habit.
