]]>The Comfort Zone is a wonderful place! It keeps you safe and provides you with warmth and unconditional love. It’s a great place to go when you want to recharge your batteries and prepare yourself for whatever adventure you might be going on next. But the problem is, if you don’t watch out, the Comfort Zone can become too comfortable—almost addictively so!
You see, with all that warmth and comfort, it’s easy to get distracted by all kinds of things. It might be the next episode of your favorite TV show. It might be just one more drink of your favorite beverage. Or maybe you prefer to play another video game. Regardless of your particular kind of distraction, it’s really just your ego-mind “helping” you to avoid something that might seem risky or even dangerous.
After a while, if you spend enough time in this Comfort Zone, you begin to notice that life is just passing you by, that you are not really very happy with your life, that something seems to be missing. And the longer you spend in this so-called “safe place”, the harder it becomes to get out of it.
It’s almost as if you’ve put on a mask to hide yourself from the world, donned your armor to protect yourself from the judgments of others, and then wrapped yourself up in a nice cozy blanket to keep yourself warm and safe.
But have you ever noticed: nothing ever seems to grow in the Comfort Zone! No real growth ever happened that didn’t involve some risk.
It’s true!
In order to grow, you have to stretch yourself. And stretching yourself means trying something new. And trying something new always introduces the possibility of that oh-so-ugly word that you probably dread:
Failure!
But that is exactly what you risk every time you try something new. And it can even be a possibility when you’re trying something you’ve done before that you believe you’re “not very good at”. In other words, you know what it feels like when something is just outside your Comfort Zone.
But just think for a moment about any so-called failure in your life:
Now, let’s flip the question around a little bit. There are probably plenty of risks you’ve taken in your life where you actually succeeded! Sure, the risk of failure may have been present, but somehow you made it through. Consider those questions again:
In this episode, the Soul Talk Guys talk about the Comfort Zone in some detail. And they’re joined by special guest, Azmina Jiwa, a Holistic Happiness Coach and teacher of the powerful Feel the Fear and do it Anyway workshops.
If you want to find a way out of your Comfort Zone so that you can begin to live a more fulfilled life, then check out the video…and please leave a comment below!

]]>These are the kinds of attributes that were long associated with men, and which seemed to be demanded by society. To some extent, the world may have for a number of years actually needed men with these kinds of qualities. To some extent, these qualities may have actually served a beneficial purpose. But looking at the world today, it’s hard to imagine what possible purpose they serve now.
Tommy & David believe that the era of the macho man has come to an end. Welcome to the era of
The Heart-Empowered Man!
What exactly is a heart-empowered man anyway? To some of the members of the old guard, it might seem that such men are weak or feeble-minded or fearful or any of a host of other diminutives, but the Soul Talk Guys believe differently, and they’ve invited three very powerful, purposeful, self-reliant—and fully heart-empowered—men to bring their brand of compassionate authenticity to this week’s show.
Come join this episode and meet:
If you are curious about what it means to be a real man, then you won’t want to miss this show! Tommy is away on vacation for this episode, but David is present to host these men and moderate a discussion in which you learn several keys to being a responsible, magnificent man:
And ladies, a special invitation to you: Invite the men in your life to watch this video with you! You won’t regret it.

]]>As long as you’re trying hard, you’re never really letting go. As long as you’re pursuing, you’re never truly happy. And therein lies the lie in the pursuit of happiness.
The so-called American Dream, in which the pursuit of happiness is promised, sets us up on a never-ending chase. And when we buy into this dream, we enter a race that cannot be won.
Why?
Well if we’re caught in the race, the race will keep us trapped by always moving the finish line. Just when we think we’re close, there’ll be another gadget to buy, a newer car to drive, a bigger house to own.
It’s not too much different than tying a carrot to a stick that dangles in front of the jackass’s nose. As long as the jackass is counting on that carrot to give him happiness, he’ll never reach it and be satisfied!
The same is true for you. No matter how hard you pursue, no matter how fast you run, no matter how long you stick with it, as long as you imagine your happiness to be something you need to pursue, it will remain ever elusive.
Similar to blaming everything out there for your troubles, if you’re counting on conditions out there to get better before you become happy, good luck. Actually, you’ll probably need a lot more than good luck to accomplish that impossible feat!
We all know money can’t buy happiness—we’ve heard it a million times. Yet our chatter brain still cunningly convinces us that as soon as we get that raise, as soon as we make more money, as soon as we meet the right person, as soon as our ship comes in…
We’ll be HAPPY!
Sorry, gang, aint gonna happen. At least not that way! You can
…but if you do, you’ll die a poor, sad, lonely person.
Check out the video and raise your chances of dying happy! For REAL!

]]>One of the best ways to cultivate self-love is through a regular practice of conscious affirmation—that is, recognizing and acknowledging your power and magnificence, and creating positive assertions that help to deepen and expand the qualities and attributes you want in your life.
Affirmations are positive statements about yourself that you repeat—aloud or silently—in a deliberate and intentional way. It is well known that the things we repeat to ourselves tend to become firmly rooted in our minds as beliefs. The problem is, most of the things we tend to repeat to ourselves—unconsciously, for the most part—are generally pretty negative and disempowering. So, we can use positive affirmations as a way to reverse this thinking and believing process.
Of course, there is more to it than that—as you’ll find out in this week’s webinar!—but if used correctly, affirmations can really help to propel you in the direction of your purpose or of your deepest heart’s desire. This week, David & Tommy will discuss things like:
