]]>Sometime around 1953, an uncredited Christian Scientist came up with a very interesting and revealing backronym for Fear:
False Evidence Appearing Real.
It’s a cute and pithy statement, to be sure, but of course, it isn’t universally true. Sometimes, fear is very real and it has a very valuable purpose—to alert us to danger and thus keep us safe. But, unfortunately, our ego-minds are very fragile parts of our physical being, and they often blow things out of proportion, triggering fear within us that is quite irrational. In other words, it is our ego-minds that trick us into holding ourselves back from doing what our hearts call us to to do. Our ego-minds are almost constantly fooling us with exaggerated—and sometimes downright outrageous—claims about dangers and risks that simply don’t exist.
This week, the Soul Talk Guys revisit the topic of fear, and they’ve invited back a wonderful and gifted teacher,
Azmina Jiwa, to share some of her wisdom about this subject.
All of our everyday what if’s create thoughts and images from our childhood conditioning and past experiences, which in turn paralyze into a state of inaction. If you are being fooled by your fears and not living the life you would love to live, then you need to tune in.
In this episode, with the help of Azmina, Tommy & David explore some truths about fears, so they can not fool you any more. Check out this episode and learn how you can override those thoughts and images so as to have the life you truly desire.

]]>You’ve heard of this, right? It is the typical reaction that is often attributed to one of the most powerful—and usually disempowering—emotions: FEAR.
And there is good reason for this reaction. According to evolutionary theory, fear put us on guard to very real dangers that existed in our world, and in our state of high alert, would give us a chance to assess our current situation and respond accordingly. Fear was necessary for our very survival, and without it we would no doubt have put ourselves into harm’s way—and paid a very high price as a result.
If we look at our world today, however, we can see that the dangers that we faced hundreds or thousands of years ago have more or less disappeared. Of course, new dangers have in some cases taken their place, but, really, our world is a much safer place than it used to be. And yet, our fear instincts are still very strong—and perhaps much stronger than they ought to be. Much of this has to do with the power of our ego-minds, whose job is to keep us safe so that we can navigate our way through the physical world. But it turns out that our ego-minds are so sensitive to danger that they often assume risk where none exists! And this is why many teachers refer to fear as:
False Evidence Appearing Real
Of course, it may seem very real to your ego-mind and your body may indeed feel the full force of the emotion, so the message you may be hearing in your head might be closer to:
F@*# Everything And Run!
The Soul Talk Guys are not here to tell you to ignore your fear. Rather, they just want to help you reduce the power of fear in your life so that you stop being controlled by it. In other words, they want to help you to
Take the Bite out of Fear
As you gain more control over your fear and begin to quiet the voice of your ego-mind, you will automatically begin to notice some changes:
What more could you ask, really? If you want any of these things in your life, then check out the video for this week’s episode of Life Mastery TV. And don’t forget to leave your comment in the space below.

]]>Trust is one of those things that we tend to take for granted most of the time. In fact, trust is widely appreciated as one of the most precious gifts you can give to anyone. Or receive, for that matter. When someone trusts you, in a way, they’re saying to you “I see you as someone who can hold my heart gently, lovingly and compassionately. Thank you!”
According to Ernest Hemingway, “The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them.”
When it comes to beginning a relationship, Hemingway’s statement seems obvious—you have to start by trusting the other person. But what happens when the other person does something that violates that trust? What then?
In this episode, David & Tommy are joined by a special guest, Beata Lewis, who is an executive coach specializing in this very issue. As a mediator and former attorney, Beata knows the vital and dynamic nature of agreements, ethics, conflict and trust for true partnering, and she is going to share some of her wisdom on this week’s show.
We talk about all things related to trust. In the video, you’ll learn about:
Look, we all make mistakes. We all violate the trust of others. And, if you have any sense of integrity at all, then when this happens, you probably feel sadness or anger or shame because of what you have done. Yes, this is true, but beating yourself up for it is the absolute LAST thing you should do! Because, believe it or not:
And that is just what David, Tommy and Beata share with you in this episode. So, check out the video and please leave a comment. And if you’d to find out more about Beata Lewis, please check out her website at Bridging Lives.

]]>What happens for you as the holidays approach?
The holidays can be a stressful time for people, for all kinds of different reasons.
So, how do we deal with this stress and still show up to be present for all the people that matter to us? Well, that’s what this week’s episode is all about. David & Tommy welcome a special “Mystery Guest” (rumor has it that he has some kind of association with the north pole…) to help find answers to some of these questions.

]]>When you are preparing to do something, you almost certainly start with some kind of plan, right? This is something that most of us do, and it’s a great idea. But no matter how much planning you do, there are always things that can go wrong, things that you can’t possibly anticipate. In other words, as the saying goes, you pretty much have to Expect the Unexpected!
Well, in this installment of Life Mastery TV, we tempt fate by having no plan at all! That’s right, in this episode, we come on the show with no specific agenda and just see what happens. But if you’ve watched us before, you just know that something interesting and magical will happen, no matter how things turn out.
If you like to step into the unknown now and then, and maybe feel a little fear in your body because you don’t know exactly what to expect, then this show is for you!
Enjoy!

]]>Fear can be a very useful emotion, since it does provide us with legitimate and valuable input about dangers and possible threats to our well-being. However, almost all of us become habituated subconsciously to avoiding things that we imagine might be risky or dangerous.
In some cases, the avoidance of those risks might make perfect sense, but in many cases, if we really examine the fear behind our avoidance, we can easily see that the danger is nowhere near as bad as we might have believed! And yet, strangely, we still avoid that “thing” (whatever it is) because of our own internal conditioning. And when this happens, the fear is no longer serving us, but rather keeping us from living a fulfilled and happy life.
In Episode #2, we discuss this subject in some detail. AND, we provide resources that can help you to:
